Who We Are

Children and Family Futures (CFF) maximizes the expertise of staff, key partners and consultants who committed to improving outcomes for children and families affected by trauma, substance abuse and mental illness. CFF employs diverse, highly skilled, dedicated and trained supervisory-level management, program, evaluation and administrative staff. They are supported by expert consultants to successfully execute national, state and local projects.

CFF staff members have technical skills to improve collaborative practice across courts, child welfare systems and treatment programs. Its organizational resources include a national team of senior professionals located throughout the country who are “tri-lingual” i.e., thoroughly versed in court, child welfare and treatment concepts. This team has expertise in evaluating and improving FDCs, adult learning theory and techniques and processes for identifying and addressing challenges in meeting complex TTA requests. CFF staff members have experience using advanced communication technologies and in the use of cutting-edge technology to distribute information.

What We Do

Since 2009, CCFF has implemented an innovative and efficient FDC TTA Program for OJJDP. CCFF assessed the needs of FDCs, designed and implemented an FDC web-based Learning Academy and a Peer Learning Court program, provided high-quality TTA to more than 35,000 FDC professionals across the country, launched the Statewide System Reform Program (SSRP) and published Guidance to States: Developing Family Drug Court Guidelines. This impressive breadth of material development, delivery, and dissemination requires an approach that is innovative, responsive, and efficient.

Known for its “high-tech, high-touch” approach for TTA delivery, CCFF employs a team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals and support staff. A triage approach and tracking system is used to determine level of effort to ensure efficient use of resources. CCFF also partners with national organizations and subject matter experts to ensure the highest quality expertise and knowledge. These accomplishments are the foundation for the proposed FDC TTA program’s design and implementation approach.
